The beginner daytime experience is designed to help beginner photographers get to know the basics of photography or to refresh those who are getting back into using a camera after a long break. During the session we will go thought some of the main camera settings including; Shutter Speed, ISO and Aperture to see how they effect the images you’re capturing and give you a greater understanding of how you can use these to maximise the potential of your camera.

There are many different ways to photograph your subject - This course will help you achieve the results you’re after and will help you to analyse your images so you can understand how you have achieved the specific looks and also how you can change the camera settings to get different results with confidence in the future.

The day is mainly aimed at helping you get used to the camera and how it functions, however we will also be exploring the Bawdsey Hall nature reserve and surrounding locations on the peninsula looking for wildlife for you to photograph and experiment with along the way. We will cover some of the common challenges of wildlife photography, such as; Birds in flight and getting the correct exposure for different environments and conditions. The course is not rushed, moving along at your pace and is tailored to what you want to gain from it so you can get the most out of the day.

Seasons will also play a role in what can be photographed as different species are around at different times of the year and during different weather conditions. Transport is provided throughout the day and a packed lunch is also included in the daytime wildlife Photography Experience. The session will typically start just around sunrise and will usually end in the late afternoon, however timings will change depending on the time of year, weather conditions and depending on the current animal behaviour.
